What the heck is a „tag“?

Tags, a buzzword from the web 2.0 hype, are simply information about information, so called meta information. A tag describes for example a picture with keywords, like “nice flower, big tree”.

What tags do?

Journizer uses tags to describe logbook entries and pictures with keywords for example the country, city and journey. By adding different tags you can individualize all your entries.

Where do I find those tags?

The simpliest way of searching for tags is via our compass. On the right side you will find the tags in a tag cloud. The font size of a tag shows its importance. On the passport page of a user you can find his or her personal tag cloud.

Why should I use tags?

Tags make your content more organizable and search able. For you and for others. The compass helps you to find content that is similar to yours. On your passport site you will find your own entries.

How can I tag my content?

Tagging is pretty easy. When you upload a picture or write a new log entry the country and the name of the stop is automatically added. You can add additional keywords, separated by commas, to describe your content individually. For example: my house, cool, pink elephant, wilderness at night…
