The Brilliance Of Air Canada

The best part of Canada’s national airline is how they ignore the province of Newfoundland. Actually no, it was much more a case of snatching candy out of your hands after letting you taste its bliss.
Once upon a time there was a direct flight to London from St. John’s. Then Air Canada decided Newfoundlanders are better off flying to the mainland before spinning you around and letting you wave at your province as you fly over it a second time.
How can you tell if there are Newfies on your flight? They are the ones scratching at the windows on your trans Atlantic flight as you fly over the island. They have already been traveling for 6 plus hours just to get the privilege of leaving the rock for the old world.

This is the part where we fly over our province and wait for 10 hours in another one for the privilege of being allowed to turn around and fly back to ours.
