Not being able to take part in this years party, but feeling rather sad, I decided to loot in an act of solidarity. See there was this awesome 70’s lamp. I loved it. I posed with it. I found out another wanted it. However it was far too awesome to share. LOOK AT THE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES IT PRESENTS:
Drawing strength from the knowledge that somewhere in St. John’s at that very moment a pirate raiding party was forming (complete with a portable treasury of Strongbow to fortify them on that night) I knew that I had to acquire this lamp at any and all costs. Do I throw a temper tantrum (thoughts of Susi’s previous party where temper tantrum occurred assured me of success in the object of my desire, but also maybe in the complete loss of social contacts). Ditto for throat punches and drop kicks. All effective but permanent in their social repercussions.
HOWEVER, time was on my side! Turns out the other person who conspired for the object of my desire had a partner who declared it the ugliest thing he ever saw. So Susi thought she would give it to him for his Bday next week and then he’d have to keep it and his partner would be happy. After seeing my ever so cool pictures however she inquired if perhaps I would like it. My squeals of laughter and delight may not have been very pirateesque but it had the desired effect. The problem was the size. No fear however I was not to be deterred. I had my team dissemble the lamp and I then had it reinstalled in the reading room. (which also now has a bookshelf all to my self with my books and my clothes and my STUFF). wa hahahahahaahaha. So no excuse to be messy damn.
See how happy I am. :P Sadly the St. John’s raiding party was canceled. Sniff.
That is just extreme coolness and makes me actually use the desk in there instead of destroying my back on the bed as has been my present habit. :P
And finally this last picture is for mom. Look how happy Spongebob and the monkey are!!!!!
