First 29th Birthday

(ahem cough, embarassed look), yeessss, though not exactly the same as over on Gypsy, a lot alike. This is because we have no time, and so I JUST THIS ONCE, I copied and changed only a little. (blush) New stuff comes first. ;)
I would just like to say that I LOVE travelling by bike. We get to see the Turkey that not a lot of the other tourists get to see. Namely that Turksih perople are wonderful and giving and kind, and not over charging you at every corner and jumping on you and pushing things down your throat. Now onto the copied stuff:
We woke up to a another bright sunny day, and we decided to lie around the pool reading and swimming until 5. (It actually reminded me a lot of our last beach vacation, and goes to show what a greedy person I am because I am already looking forward to Cuba and I am not even halfway through this one yet!!!). Ahhh the heart of a gypsy. ;)
The only flaw of the day was that Pammuckle was not what I had expected. The tourist photos show everyone frolicing in these pools:

Trust me when I say that they did not get out of the pool just to make sure that we had the best shots possible. The only pools you are allowed in are the man made ones on the side of the road you walk up to actually SEE the rest of the springs. Since I have wanted to bathe in these springs since I lived in Istanbul 2 years ago I was a little disapointed by them. All the tourist shots show people frolicking! When they changed this I dont know. So it took about 30 minutes for me to get over the disapoinment, but then I did eventually get over it. it was still something amazing to see, and the ruins of Heropolis that overlook them were well worth the entry by themselves.
The only place you could swim was in the swimming pool of ruins. It looked super cool, and there were ruins in there, BUT, and this is the big but, after spending 10 Euros to get in to Pamucckle to NOT bath, we really did not feel like spending another 10 Euros to swim in the pool. Patrick had insisted I should, but really, it was pretty to take a pciture of, but not another 10 to just sit there because I couldnt sit over in the springs.
But we still spent almost 5 hours there, and the sunset was worth it in itself.
Then we indulged in a little water pipe smoking, and my first 29th birthday was over!
