Random Events....

are both cool and part of travel. We spent the day driving, and it was HOT. I thought I was going to melt into a puddle in my gear, and it made me very very VERY afraid for Turkey. However despite learning how to drive the bike, (and ahem, dropping it) I am glad I did not give into the temptation to quit my endeavor to achieve a German motorcycle license in a flurry of cursing, dropkicks and throat punches. Rather sticking with it meant that this trip is the first time I really had to work for something I wanted, and what granny says is correct, it DOES make it sweeter.
Anyway, I digress. Randomness is what I wanted to talk about. And random it was. We tried to visit an old Hungarian farmhouse with Hungarian cowboys. Wheee cowboys. But sadly it turned out to be a 3 hour tour, and we were too late for the last one. We did however decide to try and stay with a farmer again, as last time it worked out so well! And did we ever luck out. Our first 2 tries were nos, but our third not only said yes, but it turns out that he is this motorcycle noise maker, he actually travels around to various sports bike stunt shows, and makes noises for the entertainment of the crowd. He even had videos for us to watch. And a horse as a present from one of those stunt guys (because we all have a friend who has given us a horse, a pregnant one at that.)
Go figure…..
