THE Mountain of the Gods

Mt. Nemrut was fantastic and amazing, but I never learned about it until I was older. Mt. Olympus however was part of the mythology I was familiar with growing up. (Again my Turkish readers turn from me, Sorry!!!!) :) And so the trip was again something new and exciting, especially since we had put our road kilometers behind us. Again we could slow down and enjoy, and the road marked for us by George had turned out to be everything he had said and more. I can now say I camped on Mt. Olympus, even if I never drove my bike to the top like he did! (I am not so sure many other people can make the same claim, but he has pictures to prove it). :)

Südlich von Tessaloniki liegt der Olymp. Vom Meer aus ragt das Bermassiv in den Himmel. Dort residiert der Göttervater Zeus und seine Götterschar. Wir würden gerne auf den Gipfel wandern aber Sherries Knie tut immer noch weh, daher begnügen wir uns mit dem Kurvensträsschen das wir ein Stück hochfahren können. Die Berge sind grandios!
