Let It Rain

We escaped the beach by seconds. Literal seconds. We woke up to a gray day, and we decided to stay in the tent and read and relax. We debated staying another night (we had not had rain since Bulgaria and we were not looking forward to confronting it in honesty) but we had no food and no extra water. So it was decided, Patrick would drive both bikes halfway again, and I would take over where I had managed to get to the previous night.
I have never been so scared in my life. I actually closed my eyes and prayed to god as we bounced, bopped, and BANGED our way up the hill. If feeling it the night before disturbed me, SEEING it the next morning made me wish I never suggested we try to reach the beach.
But we survived, ;) and I drove the rest of the way up sans dropping, AND as soon as we got up we literally watched the clouds roll in and drown us.
So we never escaped the drowning, we just escaped the part where it happened on that horrendous road, OR being rained out on the beach.
The rain refused to stop however, and so in Vlore we checked into a hotel.
