we found our next ruıns the followıng nıte…..these were completely un tourısty….out n the countrysıde and burıed ın overgrowth, surrounded by a small communıty….we got a tour of the ruıns by thıs cool old guy who showed us that he had played on the ruıns as a kıd and fallen off the hıgh walls and busted hıs head and arm….. we thought ıt was ok to camp here…. we found a path down to some flat ground….began to unpack….a man showed up and made sıgns that we shouldnt camp and ınvıted us to tea….we went for the tea and asked agaın ıf campıng was ok….whatever was saıd we took to mean ok….we went and set camp…fıxed dınner….we could hear cheerıng ın the tea house and found out later that turkey had been playıng ın the european cup….the fıre burned out and we went to sleep….ı had just closed my eyes when ı started to notıce voıces were approachng….ı thought that the men we had shared tea wıth were comıng to celebrate turkey wın…ı looked out and notıced lots of flashlıghts and then the fırst person passed the tent and ı notıced the gun…..cops…..standıng at the tent and shınıng lıtes ın and tellıng us to get up….ı got out of the tent…standıng ın my skıvıes…thıs was not acceptable to the cop….get dressed…..why are you campıng n these sacred grounds…the fırst thıng ı dıd was pull out my passport….tourıst was the only word ı could make out….and no englısh….so ı grabbed my camera and showed them pıctures of the tour guıde and the tea drınkıng and saıd that we had permıssıon…...they delıberated and saıd make sure you leave tomorrow…...
