giving in!

so we had a huge travel day on tuesday, 350km. encountered lots of wet weather but we were lucky to always arrrive after the rain. the czech republic is super beautiful, rolling farm land and lush forest. all of it is superb motorcycling. the country roads are one lane and have the most crazy drivers yet encountered as speed goes that is….they fly down these narrow winding roads…luckily for me they take staying in their own ‘lane’ very seriously… even big trucks….whoa..scary shit seeing those fucker coming at you…especially scary when coming thru a one lane over pass on a blind curve!!!
adventure is our life on the bikes, but the basics still take precedent…what to eat, where to shit, how to shower, in a way we have taken a path that is the essence of surviving. oh but this is about a moto tour so i won’t dwell on the philisophical at the moment.
the funniest moment thus far was tuesday nite, with our bast intention of spending our second nite wild camping we were quickly running out of day lite and the temp was dropping fast….i pointed out a spot in a field behind some trees, we headed for it, and quickly realized that it was swampy, joscha thought he could find something better down lower but it looked worse to me so i didn’t follow him. i watched while he hit some rough swamp, his tire started to spin, loosing momentum and coming to a stop….he continued to spin his tire until the bike could stand on its own!!!! well i had to go help him but the ground was so soft that i could keep my bike standing on the kick stand, so i had to ride back to the road and return to get him out, we laughed as he shot mud all over me adn then drop the bike on him self as we got it moving…..by now it’s dark and cold so we went to our first pension…..
